Shopping for a Wedding
Veil
When you’re shopping for your wedding veil you will
find that there are a number of different styles and lengths
to choose from, made in a variety of materials, including
bridal illusion, tulle, English netting and chiffon.
Veils are also available in one, two or more tiers or layers,
of the same or varying lengths; but bear in mind that several
layers of netting can become quite opaque and may hide any
fine detail on your wedding gown. In addition, you may come
across the word ‘blusher’. This is a single layer
of veiling which covers the face, and an optional element
of a bridal veil.
Your choice of veil may also depend, to a degree, on the
length and style of your wedding dress. For example, if your
wedding gown is very ornate then as a general rule a plainer
veil will best complement it. Whereas a wedding dress of a
simpler design will harmonize beautifully with either an ornate
or plain bridal veil.
